The Japanese Bobtail is an enchanting, sweet little cat, born with a "bunny tail!"
Bobtails are a natural breed, as opposed to a man made breed.
They are one of the oldest breeds of feline, and their historical presence can be traced to the 7th century.
Ancient woodcuts, silkscreen prints, tapestries and statuary of cats with 'pom-pom' tails can be found in many museums.
The Gotojuki temple in Tokyo is decorated with a frieze of bobtailed cats, sitting with their right forepaws raised in a greeting,
a gesture that Japanese folklore claims will bring good luck. Small statues, called Maneki neko (welcoming/ beckoning cat)
are found throughout Japan, and even in Asian shops and restaurants worldwide.
These Maneki neko's are believed to bring good fortune and health to their keepers.

Hello! My name is Stuart Andrew and I live in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK.
I share my home with Afghan Hounds, which I exhibit around the UK, and of course some very special felines.....
My Bobtails are are predominately Bassetti breeding with Nekomo and Kiddlyn lines.

I wish to express my gratitude to Janet Bassetti for breeding such exceptionally beautiful Bobtails and to my friend Dawn Benaim, ( Benhana )
without whose endless support none of this would ever have been possible. Thank you.
